June 2026 Children’s Ministry
Newsletter
Congratulations to all our preschool, elementary, high school, and college graduates! I pray that through all the exciting changes that you will experience, you continue to walk close to Jesus. Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path”.
Now that we have gotten through Holy Week and Pentecost, the Pre-k-2nd Graders will be talking about how the apostles go out and spread the gospel. A wall in their classroom has been setup featuring the 12 Apostles. They can hang each week’s coloring sheet under each apostle. We will also focus on the attributes of kindness, good choices, and being helpful.
The young youth are still enjoying coming to the 3rd-5th grade Children’s Church room. They are full of questions and enthusiasm about the word of God. After we do our worship and topic discussion, they are ready for some good old fashion fellowship in the Family Life Center. So, we are not discouraging it but at times the youth leaders may ask that they attend worship in the Sanctuary. The youth leaders give them sermon listening activities to keep them engaged. They are also being given tasks to participate in the worship experience.
In May we finally got all the children out on a fun field trip to the Concord Speed Park. God made sure to hold back the rain and allow us to have a 70 degree lovely day!

Also, in May several of our Children's Ministry team members and one youth took part in our CPR/First Aid training and we recieved our certification.
Children/Youth Night: June 14th & 28th5:30-7:00pm. We now have a real volleyball setup. Apparently, the Family Life Center was designed with the capability to have volleyball games. Thank you to the Mullens family for providing a new net so we can get to playing some good games. All ages are welcome to come on these Sunday nights. If you bring a friend, make sure to give us parent contact and any other information for them. We also do a short devotion, arts & crafts, and mission planning. We serve dinner at 6:30. If anyone can provide dinner let Kim or Lori Rader know. A huge thank you to the Hunter Family and the Hill Family for providing some yummy dinners.
The Blessing Cart Garden located behind my office is growing in leaps and bounds. Please know that this garden is for the children and families to tend to. Please plan a few minutes each Sunday to get them out there to weed, water, and harvest. All the vegetables will be brought to the cart outside at the Arbor. If you have something else to plant feel free to add it to the garden. Make sure to label what it is.
God Bless you and your families
