April is always a time of renewal. The world begins to grow again. Our spiritual condition is renewed with the celebration of Holy Week and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As children see the world awaken for another season in their first decade of life, let’s help them by giving them a good foundation to grow upon. A “design for living” through the word or God. Having a faithful church family is one way to help them develop healthy bonds within the community. This month we are going to talk about Jesus’ final walk among us after being risen. While we wait for Pentecost, we will reflect on Jesus’ command to love one another. One way to do that is through local mission work. Another way is through prayer for each other. Update: The children’s ministry department along with the youth have cleaned up the garden, planted seeds and they are growing! Thank you to Daniel and Jenn Shue for supplying mulch to our walkway. Also, the Levine Children’s Hospital Blankets are completed. We have 11 blankets to deliver. Thank you to all who donated fabric and scissors. Summer Camp: Registration is open and we are limiting the enrollment to 30 children per day. See the attached flyer. We still need two more leaders for the week of June 8, 10, & 12th. There will be a small compensation for working the camp and all leaders need to be background checked. A planning meeting will be scheduled for the month of April and May. Please consider being a part of this ministry and if you want to enroll your children go to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church website to register.
