Children’s Church – Elementary

“The word of God is an amazing book, full of stories of men and women on journeys toward God and his love for them.  These life-changing stories deserve to be told as creatively and enthusiastically as possible to help children grow closer to God and capture their imagination.  Object lessons demonstrate and cement truth in their minds and help  children focus on the truth you are trying to convey”. This introduction comes from the Book Top 50 Object Lessons Games& Activities created by Kathie R. Phillips.  We are going to use this book as our curriculum for worship in Children’s Church over the summer. It’s a topic thematic approach and I think the children are going to really enjoy it  We will go in alphabetical order and this month we start with: Anger, Control, Courage and Life Time Teacher (Mother’s Day).  

Sunday School – Elementary

Last month we went through the book of Job.  It was very enlightening to both them and me. It’s been a while since I read this book and as always you see things differently when in a different time of your life.  We will be working in the book of Psalms this month.  Please encourage your child to read the Book of Psalms at home.  Show them your favorite Psalm and help them to find a Psalm that speaks to their own hearts.

4-6 year old Sunday School/Children’s Church

We are getting through our Bible alphabet and this month they will be in “L-O”.  Our Sunday School room is really coming alive.  We invite you to come by and visit us and see all the art work and play we have going on in there.  They are very proud of their “new” Sunday School room.  They use the nursery for Children’s Church time and that’s where they have a liturgical moment as well as snack and time to use what they learned in Sunday school through play.  

Bethlehem Children/Youth Mission Alliance

In March we sowed the seeds for Our Blessing Cart garden and here we are in May.  The seeds are now plants in the ground.  We thank all those who donated dirt, fencing ,stakes and seeds.  The children are busy keeping it watered and monitoring it every chance they get to see if any veges have arrived.  In our garden we have: yellow (Josh) squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, basil, and peas.  The picture below is of everyone praying for our Blessing Cart Garden.

Children’s Praise Band (God’s Radio) - We meet every Wednesday 6-7 pm.

They had a wonderful time praising God on Easter Sunday.  The pictures below came from our Christmas 2024 performance. Our next adventure will be to sing with the Adult Praise Band.  We have a song picked out, our drummer and guitar player are working hard learning to play it.  Over the next month or two the Choir will be learning to sing it.  Stay tuned for the date of this next performance!

VBS (ages Pre-k to 10)
